A boat excursion is probably the best way to tour around Tai O and to experience the most authentic flavours of Hong Kong’s oldest fishing village. On your 20-minute boat ride, you will first go around the waterways of Tai O for a close look at villagers’ everyday life in the iconic and connected stilt houses. Next, the boat will take you out to the ocean, where you can observe the “General’s Rock” and Tai O Heritage Hotel (former Tai O police station).
