Cable Car Discovery Centre - the very first edutaining permanent exhibition themed around cable car – is now open! Explore the different galleries and experience zones, including a showcase of cable car components and a photo area, to learn more about the Ngong Ping Cable Car system. From the history of cable cars to the hard work of unsung engineering heroes, different aspects of the extreme project are shown right in front of you and explained by a professional demonstrator. Play around with the interactive installations and enter the restricted engineering zone through virtual reality, too. A novel travelling experience and fun learning await your discovery!

Explore the restricted engineering zone
Put on VR headsets to enter the restricted engineering zone that has never been open to public. Access to this area has always been limited to engineers. You can also step onto an engineering cabin and explore the unique experience of our engineering team. At the grand theatre, never-been-seen before footages of the extreme project will blow your mind away!

Fun learning
Through holograms, 3D projection and interactive screens, the interactive screen zone offers an all-round platform where you can understand the structure and operation principles of the bi-cable ropeway and cable car components. The cable car driving game, on the other hand, is an enjoyable play-and-learn family experience that inspires children to discover more about STEM.
